The head of the Federal Youth Department (Rosmolodezh) Sergey Pospelov told RIA News that Russia and Turkey do not have bilateral relations in the field of youth policy, but there are multilateral contacts; the crisis between Moscow and Ankara will not change the youth’s opinion about Turkey: the Turkish children could come to Russia for cultural events, if they want.
“Russia and Turkey don’t have bilateral relations in the field of youth policy at the present time. There are multilateral relations, we meet at the meetings of the Europe’s Council and other international organizations. Also, there is a humanitarian cooperation on issues of compatriots, they take part in our events, “- said Pospelov.
He paid attention on Turkish teenagers who took part in the forum “The meanings’ territory” this year.
“The youth cooperation doesn’t depend on politic. So, yesterday the president explained clearly that we have nothing against the Turks, sanctions were signed as for the Turkish government and the state, but in this case common people do not have to suffer. Therefore, if Turkish youth would like to visit our events, of course, we wait them, “- said the head of Rosmolodezh.
