At upcoming international botanical exhibition that will be held this year in Antalya, a botanical garden will get a very rare even unique exhibit. It is the olive tree of the millennial age.
Originally this tree grows on the coast of the Aegean Sea in the famous city Odemis which is located 80 kilometers from Izmir. But this year it was decided to move such a unique tree to complement their exposure of National botanical exhibition.
Despite the millennial age the olive tree still blooms and bears fruit. The history of this unique instance begins since 1071 when the tree has been planted as a supplement of the parkland in Odemis.
Currently the tree grew up from a seedling into the huge tree which is almost 3 meters in girth. The best specialists in Turkey were invited for replanting the exhibit. They will dug up this natural wonder carefully and put it to the National Botanical Garden in Antalya.
