The patient was admitted to the research hospital of the Century University, Medical Faculty in Van city, with symptoms of infection «MERS» (Middle Eastern respiratory syndrome), but the hospital denied the presupposed virus and diagnosed “swine flu H1N1», the patient was immediately accommodated in the isolation unit, and than he was transferred to another hospital, which is located outside the province.
42-years-old patient works in Antalya but he went to his hometown Van for 10 days off. Cough and fever heat were cause of contact with the research hospital of the Century University in Van city. The patient immediately with presupposed disease MERS, then H1N1 was accommodated in an isolation unit. After the first aid the patient was transferred by ambulance to another hospital which is located outside the province.
There weren’t beds.
The head doctor, Professor at Medicine Faculty of the Century University in Van city Gengiz Demir said that the patient was transferred to another hospital due to lack of beds in the intensive care unit. “The information about an introduction of quarantine has not been confirmed. The ambulance service works as usual. Our citizens, as before, could use the emergency’s service”- explained the head doctor.
