At the Istanbul’s airport the Turkish authorities have detained two people, charged a suspect with crime of smuggling 148 unfilled European passports. The arrested persons tried to deliver documents by an equipment for pizza.
Law enforcement officers found out that the forms are true. The most of passports are the French model, but there are also a German, Irish and British documents.
According to RIA News, one of the arrested persons was born in Turkey, but he is a citizen of Belgium, another one is Syrian. They tried to deliver French, German, British and Irish passports, which were original.
How could these people get passports and the most important – what was a purpose, it is unknown. At the moment, local law enforcement agencies clarify it.
