In Istanbul will host the Russian literature’s festival


From 23th of October to 10th of November in Istanbul will host a festival “Literary season”, which is dedicated to Russian literature. The managers of the festival are the State Duma Committee on Culture, the Turkish-Russian Cultural Foundation, the Council of the Russian Language under the President of the Russian Federation, the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, Rospechat, Russian House “Solzhenitsyn”, “Mosfilm”, Literary Institute by name of Gorky, St. Petersburg theater “Music Hall”, Museum-Estate of Lev Tolstoy “Yasnaya Polyana”, Russian Academy of Arts and Literary-Memorial Museum by name of Dostoevsky.

The program of the festival:

23th of October the festival will open with a concert of the orchestra “Music Hall”

“Round table” on the topic “Russian literature and translation problems” with the participation of 10 Russian writers and experts in the field of Russian literature, including such names as A. Varlamov and S.A. Esin, will held on 24th of October 24.

From 24th to 30th of October will shown movies with plot from Russian literature.

From 24th of October to 8th of November, it will be possible to visit the exhibition of paintings “One picture – one novel.”

Visitors of the exhibition “Anna Karenina” will be able to see the exhibits which helped write to Tolstoy this book. (24th of October – 10th of November).

On 25th of October on the street will be put the performance “literary quadrille.”

The first Festival of Russian Culture was held in Istanbul in 2013. This year the festival will held for the second time and dedicate to the literature.
