Vice Prime Minister of Turkey and ex.Economy Minister Mehmet Shimshek said that the Russian sanctions against Turkish goods and services won’t affect the Turkish economy.
“The loss due to sanctions could be around 3.1 billion dollars. Gross domestic product (GDP) of Turkey is about 700-800 billion. It’s a small fall for Turkey’s indicator”- said Vice Prime Minister at a conference in Washington.
Mehmet Shimshek specified that the decline in trade with Russia won’t affect the Turkish economy. Shimshek said that for last years, by cause of the  ruble movement and decrease of  tourist flow from Russia to Turkey, goods turnover has fallen by 30-40%.
“If we try to predict the current of events in 2016, so the loss due to sanctions could be around 3.1 billion dollars. Gross domestic product (GDP) of Turkey is about 700-800 billion. It’s a small fall for the Turkey’s indicator”, – concluded Mehmet Shimshek.
