“Pegasus Airlines” is the second turkish airline after “Turkish Airlines”, which implements regular flights to Russia. It has seven flights a week to Moscow and Krasnodar. The carrier’s fleet consists of 66 aircrafts.
Cancellations and postponements of departures at the schedule of Turkish airline Pegasus Airlines have began since 1st of January, 2016. According to the scoreboard Domodedovo Airport, the flights between Moscow and Istanbul were canceled or delayed on 1st, 2d and 3d of January (PC 885 and PC 884). These days also were canceled flights from Krasnodar (PC 777 and PC 776), such information provides the service “Yandex.Time-table.”
On forum Vinsky Pegasus’ passengers informed that they had troubles with the flight to Istanbul from 30th of December. “After arrival at the airport of Krasnodar it was clear that the plane didn’t arrived due to the cancellation of the flight from Istanbul – and this is the second consecutive plane, yesterday also didn’t come” – on 31 of December wrote an user with the nickname Larry66. An user with the nickname zanina.oksana also was to fly the same flight on 31 of December from Krasnodar to Istanbul and couldn’t do it till 1st of January. The reason for the cancellation and postponement of the flight was called as a bad weather at the airport in Istanbul, but the Pegasus airline’s customers wrote that they could change tickets for new dates without additional payments.
The official representative of Pegasus in Turkey isn’t available. “It (the cancellations and postponements of departures. – RBC) isn’t tied to anti-Turkish sanctions,” – affirms a source RBK according to the Russian office of Pegasus airlines.
