From 1st of January 2016 the Turkish citizens, before the entering Russia, should apply for a Russian visa. The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the fee to get Russian visa for Turkish citizens – 60 euros (about 200 Turkish liras). It is necessary to obtain a visa, providing documents to the Embassy and the Consulate of the Russian Federation in Turkey.
Before the law, Turkish citizens had the right to enter Russia without a visa for 30 days. If the Turkish citizens prefer staying more time, for example, purposes: study or work, it also was required to obtain a Russian visa. The Russian citizens have the similar rights in Turkey. This order was approved by an agreement between the two countries, which was signed in 2010.
However, the Turkish Embassy in Russia said that Ankara won’t introduce visa regime for Russian citizens, despite the relations’ escalation between the two countries.
