More than 100 thousand people gathered for a meeting in the area of Yenikapi in Istanbul to support the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Thousands of Turks took part in a similar meeting in Ankara. Erdogan’s supporters had banners with slogans approving Erdogan’s policy against the terrorism. However, critics said that the Turkish president used the recent terrorist attacks in the country to put the blame on Kurdish rebels and justify the use of force against them. In addition, opponents think that the recent meeting is as a PR advertising in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
