Prosecutors of Diyarbakir in Turkey sent a request to the Ministry of Justice to lift the country’s parliamentary immunity to the leader of the pro-Kurdish Democratic People’s Party Selahattin Demirtaş. According to the statement released on Thursday by the prosecutor’s office, Demirtaş’s remarks at a press conference in Diyarbakir “contains an insult to the president, the propaganda of a terrorist organization and call on to commit a crime.” In last press conference in Diyarbakir Demirtas said that he respects who go to the protest against the government’s politics in the Kurdish-populated regions of Turkey. At the same time, demonstrators which support the government and protest against the activities of the Turkey Kurdistan Party (PKK), on his opinion, were “gangs”, and got the payment from the Justice and Development Party and the National Intelligence Organization (MIT). The situation in Turkey has become the worse after the terrorist attack, on 20th of July organized by the group “Islamic State of Iraq and Levant” in the border town Suruç and police’s murders in the south-eastern provinces, responsibility assumed by the PKK. During the last month the victims of Kurdish terrorist were more than 100 military and civilians.
