Turk Elif Jale Yeşilırmak River won a bronze medal at the World Cup in wrestling in the United States. At the World Championship in wrestling which was been held in Las Vegas (USA), a Turkish athlete Elif Jale Yeşilırmak River took the third place among women in the weight category up to 58 kg. In the match for third and fifth place Yeşilırmak River met with Colombian Jacqueline Renteria Castillo. The meeting ended with the benefit of the Turkish athletes, 3-2. The participation in the competition for the third place let to Yeşilırmak River to take a part in the Olympic Games. Last year, Elif Jale Yeşilırmak River also won a bronze medal at the World Wrestling Championship which were held in Uzbekistan, thereby she obtained the title of Turkey’s first female fighter award in the world Championship.
