Turkey and Russia continue the cooperation in the field of nuclear energy. On April 2015 the State Corporation “Rosatom” has started construction of the first nuclear plant in Turkey, which in the future will be able to produce a third part of the electricity which Turkey needs.The project will help with economic benefits to both countries – Turkey will save on fuel imports to $ 14 billion a year, and Russia will be able to make a significant profit after the construction of the object, than Russian specialists will work there. Turkey previously did not have the experience in the use of nuclear power plants, so Turkey is interested in this plant would be built, operate and then taken out of service in a safe way. In Russia, there is a training of Turkish students in the field of nuclear energy. According to the signed contract, Russia will prepare about 600 Turkish experts.
