On Sunday, 14 February, was obtained the information that the Turkish authorities have started the construction of a concrete fence along the Turkish-Syrian border between Nusaybin, a district of Mardin province, and the Syrian city Al-Qamishli.
For construction of the walls it`s used concrete blocks three meters high and two meters wide. Three-kilometer section of the wall will be built between Nusaybin district and Demirtepe border post. It should be noted that later the wall will be extended until Cizre district of Sirnak province.
Let us remind that in recent years Turkey has considerably strengthened security measures along its border in order to prevent the entry of foreigners to Syria, as well as to block the movement of militants on Turkish territory.
