As reported by private channel CNN Turk, on Wednesday, 2nd of December, the Turkish state pipeline company BOTAŞ signed an agreement with Qatar to purchase compressed natural gas (CNG).

It is important to note that this agreement was signed with growing tensions as backdrop between Turkey and the main supplier of natural gas- Russia. The relations between the two countries have gone bad since 24th of November, when the Turkish air force shot down a Russian Su-24 bomber on the Turkish-Syrian border.

According to reporters in Doha, Erdogan informed that Turkey and Qatar have also agreed on the free visa entrance between the two countries.
