Ukraine and Turkey took first place in a quantitative of foreigners, who were married in Moscow, reported by the city register office.
Just in 10 months of 2015 in Moscow, 85,689 marriages were registered, it is 1,755 less than in the same period last year. At the same time 16% of families have a foreign spouse.
In Moscow it is popular to get married besides Ukraine and Turkey with citizens from Moldova, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Belarus, Germany, Afghanistan, Israel and the UK.
Civil Registry Office in Moscow does not keep statistics on the gender of foreigners who got married in the capital, however, traditionally among the citizens from non-CIS states are men, reported by department.
According to department, 11% of births were registered in families where both parents or one of the parents – foreigners. At the same time born children have parents who are from Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Among the non- CIS states mothers and fathers are from Turkey, Vietnam and Afghanistan.
Just in 10 months in Moscow, 119,242 children were born. The most children (81%) have parents who are married, the statement said. The number of births was 3259 more than in the same period last year.
